A new chapter for SDoL students
I am thrilled to share an exciting chapter in the School District of Lancaster’s journey: the plans for a brand-new, consolidated elementary school serving students from the Hamilton and Price communities, along with a new Wheatland Middle School. These schools are more than just new construction projects—they are spaces designed to inspire learning, foster connection, and bring our community together.
As we honor the history and character of our current schools—from reimagining Hamilton’s beautiful garden space to preserving the family-centered nature of Price as a community school—we also embrace the chance to grow, innovate, and create environments where every student can thrive. We are equally excited to welcome new students to the schools we already cherish—Lafayette, Martin, and Washington—continuing the tradition of excellence while opening doors to new opportunities.
Together, we are building a future our students, staff, and families can be proud of. I look forward to taking this journey with all of you.

Pumpkins & Possibilities: Shaping the future of our schools together
The School District of Lancaster is inviting families to join us for Pumpkins & Possibilities, a series of community gatherings that blend seasonal fun with meaningful conversations about the future of our schools. These informal sessions allow parents, caregivers, and neighbors to engage directly with district leadership, ask questions, and share feedback on school consolidation plans—all while children enjoy fall-themed activities. Together, we can shape the path forward for our neighborhood schools.
