Wheatland MS Design/Land Development
During this phase, architects and engineers work together to bring the vision of a new Wheatland MS to life. Site studies, land preparation, and infrastructure planning ensure the project is designed to meet both educational needs and create a vibrant learning campus with Smith-Wade-El Elementary. This step lays the groundwork for construction, balancing innovation, safety, and sustainability.

Consolidated ES Design/Land Development
During this phase, architects and engineers work together to bring the new school’s vision to life. Site studies, land preparation, and infrastructure planning ensure the project is designed to meet both educational needs and community standards. For example, site engineers will develop a plan to ease traffic pressures on Wabank Road when the new school opens.

Consolidated ES Construction
With plans in place, the project moves from design to reality. Crews break ground, build foundations, and raise the walls that will become vibrant learning spaces. This phase is where progress is most visible—each milestone bringing the new school closer to welcoming students and staff. During this phase, Hamilton students will remain in their current school, while Price students continue to attend school in the former Buchanan building on West End Avenue.

ER Martin Reconfigured to PreK-5
With the new Wheatland complete, E.R. Martin will transition from a PreK–8 school to a PreK–5 elementary, creating learning environments tailored to younger students. Grades 6–8 will move into the brand-new middle school, designed specifically to meet the needs of adolescents. This reconfiguration ensures each age group has the right space to grow, learn, and thrive.
